About the position

The position at Chevron Stations Inc (CSI) involves working at retail stations selling gasoline and convenience products. The role emphasizes safety, teamwork, and customer service, requiring individuals who are self-motivated and dependable. Employees are expected to maintain a professional appearance, adhere to safety guidelines, and provide exceptional service to customers while managing various operational tasks.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain courteous, professional contact with co-workers, customers, vendors, and the community.
  • Support and follow established safety, security, and quality guidelines as well as CSI's policies and procedures.
  • Report accidents or incidents to the manager immediately.
  • Ensure food safety hygiene in accordance with county regulations.
  • Follow federal law and company standards on carding customers for age-restricted products.
  • Provide exceptional guest service and greet all customers courteously.
  • Conduct point-of-sale activities accurately and safely, including retail and fuel sales transactions.
  • Maintain cash drawer and perform cashier reconciliation at each end of shift.
  • Perform consistent station cleaning of indoor and outdoor facilities, including restrooms and pumps.
  • Prepare food and hot beverage products, managing foodservice to maximize sales and minimize loss.
  • Promote store specials and marketing programs actively.
  • Cross-check price of delivered goods for accuracy and distribute them orderly throughout the store.
  • Observe local law requirements in activating and filling vehicle fuel tanks with gasoline or diesel fuel.

Requirements

  • Available to work a variety of hours, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, overnight shifts, and holidays.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to handle challenging situations professionally.
  • Ability to work both independently and in team settings.
  • Must possess required up-to-date food handling certificates, as required by law.

Nice-to-haves

  • Cooking/Restaurant experience preferred.
