About the position

The Gas Test Production Technician role involves performing routine maintenance and calibration on analytical equipment, preparing gas mixtures, analyzing product purity, and ensuring compliance with quality control standards. This position is essential for maintaining safety and quality in a fast-paced laboratory environment, and it offers an opportunity to build valuable lab skills in a contract-to-hire capacity.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance and calibration on analytical equipment.
• Calculate, prepare, and fill medical and specialty gas mixtures and pures using partial pressure and gravimetric techniques.
• Analyze products for purity conformance to specifications.
• Process cylinders for shipment, including painting, labeling, and preparing certificates of analysis.
• Maintain all quality control records and other required documentation to comply with guidelines and regulations.
• Test and certify incoming raw materials for production.
• Handle and load cylinders as required.
• Participate in all required safety activities and maintain a safe work environment.
• Perform other projects and duties as assigned.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of analytical experience.
• Experience working in a quality assurance laboratory capacity.
• Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook).
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
• Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percentages.
