About the position
A Sarasota-based client is seeking a Gastroenterologist to join a collaborative, multidisciplinary practice. This role involves providing direct gastroenterology care to clinic patients, participating in the development of clinic protocols, and collaborating with other healthcare staff to ensure quality medical care.
Responsibilities
- Provide direct gastroenterology care and ambulatory outpatient care to clinic patients
- Participate in the development of clinic protocols and procedures to ensure quality medical care
- Participate in utilization and peer review programs which evaluate the quality of the medical staff and medical services being performed at the clinics
- Provide supervision and consultation to physician assistants and nurse practitioners
- Provide consultation services to practitioners by telephone accessibility as necessary
Requirements
- FL medical license as an MD or DO
- Completion of an approved residency program
- Board eligible or certified
- DEA certificate before start date
- CPR certification
