About the position

Valley Health is actively seeking a Medical Director and three Gastroenterology (GI) Staff Physicians to join our expanding team at Winchester Medical Center, located in Winchester, Virginia. This is a unique opportunity for skilled Gastroenterologists to become part of a hospital-employed team within a $1 billion healthcare system that serves over 500,000 residents across the Northern Shenandoah Valley of Virginia, the Eastern Panhandle of West Virginia, and Western Maryland. Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality patient care in the field of gastroenterology.
• Perform diagnostic and therapeutic procedures as required.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to develop treatment plans.
• Participate in the development and expansion of the GI program.
• Engage in community outreach and education regarding gastrointestinal health.
• Supervise and mentor junior staff and medical trainees.

Requirements

• MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school.
• Completion of an ACGME-accredited residency in Internal Medicine and fellowship in Gastroenterology.
• Board certification in Gastroenterology or eligibility for certification.
• Strong clinical and surgical skills in gastroenterology procedures.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
