Winchester Gastroenterology Associates, an established physician-owned practice, is currently seeking a Gastroenterologist to join our growing team. This position offers a unique opportunity for candidates who are board-certified or board-eligible in gastroenterology. As a Gastroenterologist at Winchester Gastroenterology Associates, you will enjoy a ready-made patient panel with an extensive referral base, which will help you build your practice quickly. The position allows for the ability to scope 85% of the time, ensuring that you can focus on your specialty. Additionally, you will have the opportunity to become a partner after your first year, providing a pathway for career advancement within the organization. The practice is supported by a strong team, including 8 Physician Assistants/Nurse Practitioners, 15 Medical Assistants, and Scribes, which allows you to focus on patient care without being bogged down by administrative tasks. The call schedule is favorable, with a 1:7 call rotation and a decrease in weekend call after the first year. Compensation is competitive, falling within the 80th percentile, and the practice offers over 26 days off per year, ensuring a healthy work-life balance. Additionally, the practice covers fully paid healthcare premiums for both the physician and their family, along with a generous retirement plan that includes 3% funding plus an additional 7% of profit sharing.

Responsibilities

  • Provide high-quality gastroenterology care to patients.
  • Perform diagnostic and therapeutic procedures, including ERCP and EUS as needed.
  • Manage a ready-made patient panel with an extensive referral base.
  • Participate in a 1:7 call rotation with a decrease in weekend call after year 1.
  • Collaborate with a strong support staff including PAs, NPs, and MAs.
  • Engage in patient-centered care with a focus on quality and outcomes.
  • Contribute to a collegial and transparent culture within the practice.

Requirements

  • Board-certified or board-eligible in gastroenterology.
  • Experience performing ERCP and EUS procedures is a plus but not required.
