About the position
The Gastroenterologist position involves providing comprehensive care in a Trauma Level 3 facility, focusing on both inpatient and outpatient settings. The role requires a commitment to full-time availability, with responsibilities including performing various endoscopic procedures and managing patient care effectively. The ideal candidate will be board certified and possess an active California medical license, with a preference for those experienced in ERCP.
Responsibilities
- Perform upper GI endoscopy procedures
- Interpret esophageal manometry results
- Conduct small bowel biopsies
- Perform lower GI endoscopy procedures
- Conduct sigmoidoscopy and colonoscopy procedures
- Provide patient care in both inpatient and outpatient settings
- Collaborate with support staff to ensure quality patient care
Requirements
- Board Certification in Gastroenterology
- Active California Medical License
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Active California Fluoroscopy License
- Experience with upper GI endoscopy
- Experience with lower GI endoscopy
- Experience with ERCP (preferred)
