About the position
Adelphi Medical Staffing is seeking a qualified Gastroenterology MD to provide outpatient care at a clinic in Columbia, Missouri. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in diagnosing and treating gastrointestinal disorders, with expertise in endoscopic procedures, and a commitment to delivering compassionate, patient-centered care.
Responsibilities
- Attend to approximately 8-10 patients per half day
- Provide comprehensive Gastroenterology care, including clinical services and procedures such as EGD, Colonoscopy, Endoscopic Ultrasound, and ERCP
- Perform emergent procedures including GI bleeding, food boluses, foreign bodies, abdominal pain
- Offer consultative services to patients at the clinic
- Notify patients of their test results promptly
- Deliver discharge education and follow-up instructions, coordinating with the next care setting for Gastroenterology patients
- Participate in continuous quality improvement activities and attend committee meetings as required by the facility's Chief of Service, Chief of Staff, or their designee
- Strive to prevent medication errors, falls, and patient injuries during care delivery
- Perform any additional duties as assigned
