About the position

The GBA Finance Director - Growth at Arcadis is a part-time role focused on supporting the GBA Finance Director and management team across various financial and operational topics. This position involves acting as a business partner in areas such as finance transformation, M&A support, digital initiatives, and sustainability reporting. The role has a global scope and can be performed from any location in the US or Europe, emphasizing collaboration with various teams to enhance financial performance and reporting quality.

Responsibilities

• Act as a business partner to support the GBA FD and the GBA management team.
• Provide M&A support for new acquisitions, divestments, and transfers.
• Support the business on topics like Digital, IT, Technology, and Sustainability reporting.
• Track and analyze non-financial (ESG) performance reporting for the GBA.
• Assist in the preparation of capex/investment proposals and investment appraisal.
• Coordinate with the GBA Sales & Pursuit Directors on major bids and pursuits.
• Lead the finance transformation implementation plan and ensure alignment with new processes and systems.
• Cooperate with the Growth Organization team to oversee quality of pipeline and reporting.

Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in a relevant field.
• At least 5+ years of experience as a finance leader in a global setting.
• Strong business partner experience with an understanding of client needs.
• Proven experience in finance management and reporting.
• Experience in managing change and driving standardization and automation.
• Ability to adopt data-driven decision making and leverage technology.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience in leading remote finance teams.
• Familiarity with project business and operational excellence processes.
