About the position

The GBD Personal Guide - Foster Care at Elevance Health is responsible for serving members through the Personal Guide Service Model. This role involves facilitating resolutions for member needs, interpreting plan benefits, resolving complex issues, and increasing member engagement in health programs. The position acts as a trusted advisor, coaching members on health risks and compliance, while also preparing reports to document case updates.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate and coordinate resolution with internal and external contacts to satisfy a member's need.
• Interpret plan benefit design; resolve complex claim, benefit, and enrollment issues.
• Perform research to respond to inquiries and interpret policy provisions to determine the most effective response.
• Increase member engagement into appropriate programs and offerings.
• Act as a trusted advisor and educator on health care related inquiries.
• Coach members on ways to reduce health risks and compliance by scheduling appointments or enrollment in programs.
• Prepare reports to document case and compliance updates.

Requirements

• Requires a high school diploma or GED.
• Minimum of 5 years of customer service experience with the company, or any combination of education and experience that provides an equivalent background.
