About the position
The Associate Banker position in the Equity Capital Markets (ECM) Group at a leading investment bank in New York focuses on originating and executing equity financing transactions. The role involves working closely with financial sponsors, venture capital firms, and corporate clients, providing strategic advice and analytical support throughout the transaction process. Responsibilities
- Originate and lead equity capital market transactions for financial sponsors, venture capital, and corporate clients.
- Develop content for client meetings regarding strategy and potential M&A or capital market transactions.
- Liaise with internal and external parties to execute transactions and discuss strategic alternatives.
- Complete and review analytical work of junior team members and provide mentorship and oversight.
- Perform investor targeting of potential institutional buyers and analyze comparable companies and institutional cross ownership.
- Manage the entire transaction process for mission-critical equity financings.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree and at least 3 years' relevant work experience.
- Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Strong analytical orientation with experience in financial and valuation analysis using Excel or comparable spreadsheet tools.
