About the position

The Associate Banker position in the Equity Capital Markets (ECM) Group at Goldman Sachs involves working within the Investment Banking Division, specifically focusing on Technology, Media, and Telecom (TMT) sectors. The role is designed for a highly skilled individual with experience in equity capital markets, responsible for originating and leading transactions, developing client strategies, and managing project execution. This position offers the opportunity to work on complex financial transactions and collaborate with various stakeholders, including clients and internal teams.

Responsibilities

  • Originate and lead equity capital market transactions for financial sponsors, venture capital, and corporate clients.
  • Develop content for client meetings regarding strategy and potential M&A or capital market transactions.
  • Liaise with internal and external parties to execute transactions and discuss strategic alternatives.
  • Complete and review analytical work of junior team members and provide mentorship.
  • Perform investor targeting of potential institutional buyers and analyze comparable companies.
  • Manage the entire transaction process for mission-critical equity financings.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree and at least 3 years of relevant work experience.
  • Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Strong analytical orientation with experience in financial and valuation analysis using Excel or similar tools.
