About the position

The GC Pro Account Manager - Outside Sales is responsible for driving new business development and enhancing existing client relationships by promoting professional audio, video, and lighting products and services. This role involves significant fieldwork, with a focus on achieving sales targets and creating effective business plans to generate new leads. The Account Manager will work closely with various teams to meet client needs and will be expected to maintain detailed reporting of activities.

Responsibilities

  • Create sales, orders, and contracts for services.
  • Spend approximately 50% or more of time in the field generating new clients and nurturing existing clients.
  • Achieve sales targets and demonstrate steady growth within a specific area or region.
  • Create effective business plans for generating new sales leads and follow up on self-generated leads.
  • Conduct business development activities including client site visits and cold calling.
  • Engage in continual learning of new products and services to represent the company effectively.
  • Proactively understand client needs and identify solutions and business opportunities.
  • Partner with AVDG, Guitar Center retail locations, Support Center, Distribution Centers, and Centers to meet client needs.
  • Create detailed reporting of daily, weekly, monthly, and quarterly activities.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree or 4 years of equivalent work experience, preferably in Business, Marketing, or a related field.
  • 3 years of relevant work experience selling AV integration products/services with a proven ability to achieve sales targets.
  • 3 years of experience in a business-to-business and/or outside sales environment, preferably in the Audio, Visual, and Lighting arena.
  • Skilled acumen for business-to-business sales practices.
  • Intermediate understanding of Microsoft Office Suite and other standard business applications.
  • Self-motivated with effective oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with clients and associates.
  • Good decision-making and negotiation skills.
  • Competitive, high achiever with accountability for results.
  • Work with a sense of urgency and drive issues to closure.
  • A drive for personal and professional success.
