About the position

The Guitar Center Retail Instructor is responsible for teaching music lessons to students according to the Guitar Center Lessons curriculum. This role focuses on increasing student enrollment and ensuring that each student enjoys their music education while fostering a culture of integrity, inclusion, and respect. The instructor will motivate students, communicate effectively with them and their parents, and assist with customer service issues as needed.

Responsibilities

• Teach students utilizing the Guitar Center Lessons Curriculum
• Communicate with students or parents of students on progress of each student (where applicable)
• Assist with customer service issues as needed, helping to maintain long term students by creating a great experience
• Identify opportunities & issues and follow through on the curriculum to capitalize or resolve them
• Provide an excellent student experience by understanding student needs

Requirements

• 3+ years of work experience in Music, Education, or related field or Bachelor's Degree
• Ability to pass Guitar Center specific training and certifications
• Skilled ability to demonstrate competency and proficiency in the area they will be teaching (Drums, Guitar, Keyboard)
