About the position

As an Operations Associate at Guitar Center, you will play a vital role in ensuring that the store operates smoothly and efficiently. This part-time position involves managing inventory, shipping and receiving stock, and merchandising products to enhance the customer experience. The role emphasizes collaboration, customer focus, initiative, and strong organizational skills, all while working in a dynamic retail environment that celebrates creativity and music.

Responsibilities

• Shipping and receiving of gear and other items
• Tasks related to inventory control
• Cycle counting of inventory (preparation and execution)
• Stocking and merchandising to a planogram
• Printing and placing of signage and price signs (POP)
• Cash handling
• Shrink awareness and control
• Additional duties as assigned

Requirements

• Basic understanding of Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
• Must be able to work in a loud environment for 5-8 hours
• Must be able to work weekends, holidays, and evenings
• Must be able to lift up to 40 lbs
