About the position

The GCCS-M Systems Support Specialist role at Atlas Technologies Inc. involves providing technical assistance and engineering services for the Global Command and Control - Maritime (GCCS-M) systems onboard U.S. Navy surface ships and aircraft carriers. The position requires a combination of onsite and remote support to troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues, ensuring the operational readiness of critical systems used by the Navy.

Responsibilities

  • Provide Fleet Technical Assistance and CASREP support to identify and correct anomalies associated with installation, operation, maintenance, and connectivity problems.
  • Evaluate, troubleshoot, test, repair, and provide technical oversight and guidance to correct equipment or software deficiencies of a non-routine and complex nature.
  • Support systems and equipment including AN/USQ-187 GCCS-M 4.1.1, AN/USQ-172 GCCS-M 4.0, AN/USQ-119 GCCS-M 4.1.5, AN/USQ-151 Joint Tactical Terminal (JTT), and AN/USQ-188 Radiant Mercury Passive Link Tap (PLT).
  • Provide distance support via phone, e-mail, and chat to deployed and local ships for technical and logistic matters associated with GCCS-M Software/equipment.
  • Perform technical level corrective maintenance, installation, and testing of GCCS-M systems.
  • Provide onboard maintenance training to U.S. Navy personnel during technical assistance visits.

Requirements

  • U.S. Citizenship.
  • A minimum of a Department of Defense (DoD) Secret level Security Clearance.
  • DoD 8140/8570 Certifications to be qualified as an Information Assurance Technician (IAT) Level II.
  • A minimum of 4 years hands-on experience in troubleshooting, assessment, and repair of GCCS-M systems.
  • Strong experience using Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, Visio).
  • Excellent communication skills including written, verbal, and presentations.
  • Excellent attention to detail.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience gained at an In-Service Engineering Agent (ISEA), Mobile Technical Unit (MOTU), Fleet Technical Support Center (FTSC), or Regional Maintenance Center (RMC).
