About the position

The GCP Cloud Engineer role at Insight Global involves working within the Cloud Security space of a large financial enterprise, focusing on integrating acquired companies into existing environments. The position emphasizes creating a landing zone in Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and understanding best practices for security deployment and configuration. Collaboration with other engineers and architects is essential to ensure the accuracy and functionality of the cloud environment.

Responsibilities

• Create a landing zone in GCP for acquired companies.
• Understand and apply GCP's service offerings and best practices.
• Collaborate with Cloud Engineers and Cloud Architects to ensure the landing zone is accurate and functional.
• Understand the deployment and configuration of security resources from a Security Control Point (SCP) standpoint.
• Work with IAM policies and the shared responsibility model in cloud environments.

Requirements

• 4+ years of hands-on Cloud Security Engineering experience, preferably with GCP.
• Understanding of cloud offerings and public cloud operations.
• Knowledge of security concepts and domains including network, application, and infrastructure security.
• Deep understanding of the Shared Responsibility model within Public Cloud.
