About the position

As a GCP Cloud Engineer, you will leverage your expertise in cloud computing to assist health clients in modernizing their infrastructure and addressing new computing challenges. You will collaborate with a team of Cloud Engineers and Architects to design, develop, and implement cloud solutions using Google Cloud Platform (GCP). This role involves working on both legacy systems and new applications, ensuring that you have access to the latest technologies and a supportive team environment.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with Cloud Engineers and Architects to design and develop cloud solutions.
  • Define, develop, test, and debug cloud solution components.
  • Partner with stakeholders to deliver effective technical solutions.
  • Modernize legacy computing platforms and applications.
  • Create new applications from scratch using GCP.

Requirements

  • 4+ years of experience in IT applications or managing infrastructure and applications in an enterprise environment.
  • 2+ years of experience managing applications within Google Cloud.
  • Knowledge of networking, storage, computer, and database fundamentals.
  • Knowledge of operating systems, including Linux, UNIX, Ubuntu, or Red Hat.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust or Suitability/Fitness determination based on client requirements.
  • Bachelor's degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics.
  • Google Associate Cloud Engineer Certification.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with health care or life sciences systems.
  • Experience with Software Development Lifecycles and Agile best practices.
  • Experience managing Containers or Virtual Machines.
  • Experience using Git, GitHub, GitLab, or Jenkins.
  • Experience with scripting tools such as Bash, PowerShell, JSON, and Python.
  • Knowledge of Terraform or other Infrastructure as Code (IAC) tools.
