About the position

The GCP Cloud Engineer role involves leading the planning and implementation of complex projects on Google Cloud Platform (GCP). The engineer will be responsible for overseeing the development and deployment of applications, providing technical guidance, and ensuring best practices are followed throughout the project lifecycle. This position requires a strong focus on Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform and managing development pipelines.

Responsibilities

• Lead the planning and implementation of complex projects, ensuring alignment with company objectives and timelines.
• Oversee the development and deployment of applications using Jenkins, GKE, Ansible, GITHUB, Terraform, and GCP.
• Provide technical guidance and support to the project team, ensuring best practices are followed.
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration and delivery of project components.
• Monitor project progress and performance, making adjustments as necessary to ensure successful completion.
• Develop and maintain project documentation, including project plans, status reports, and risk management plans.
• Facilitate communication and collaboration among stakeholders, ensuring transparency and alignment.
• Manage project budgets, ensuring efficient allocation of resources and adherence to financial constraints.
• Conduct regular project reviews and post-implementation evaluations to identify areas for improvement.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements throughout the project lifecycle.
• Identify and mitigate potential risks and issues, developing contingency plans as needed.
• Foster a culture of continuous improvement, encouraging team members to identify and implement process enhancements.
• Utilize data-driven insights to inform decision-making and drive project success.

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience in cloud engineering, specifically with GCP.
• Proficiency in Terraform for Infrastructure as Code (IaC).
• Experience with Kubernetes Engine (GKE).
• Strong knowledge of Jenkins for CI/CD processes.
• Familiarity with GitHub for version control.
