About the position

We are seeking a skilled Data Engineer/Architect with extensive experience in Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and BigQuery. This role focuses on building and optimizing data pipelines, designing customer solutions, and collaborating with various business units to enhance e-commerce and retail operations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in data engineering, particularly with legacy ETL processes, Talend, and SQL.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and implement data solutions with a primary focus on BigQuery.
• Manage legacy ETL processes and utilize Talend for data transformation.
• Build and optimize data pipelines to support high-volume retail operations.
• Perform data modeling and create schemas to improve market and e-commerce data flows.
• Collaborate with business units and stakeholders to gather requirements and provide project estimates.
• Oversee the full lifecycle of data engineering projects from inception to deployment.
• Work independently and deliver on critical project goals.

Requirements

• Mid to senior-level experience in data engineering.
• Expertise in Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and BigQuery.
• Strong proficiency in SQL and large-scale data processing.
• Experience with Talend and legacy ETL processes.
• Proven experience in e-commerce and retail, particularly in high-volume data environments.
