About the position
The GCP Data Engineer role focuses on building and managing scalable data pipelines within the Google Cloud Platform (GCP). The position requires expertise in Python and Snowflake to ensure high-quality data availability for analysis and decision-making. The engineer will work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to meet data requirements and maintain data security and compliance.
Responsibilities
- Design and develop scalable data pipelines and ETL processes on GCP.
- Optimize data integration and ingestion using tools like BigQuery, DataFlow, and Pub/Sub.
- Develop SQL and Python scripts for data transformation and ETL processes in Snowflake.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and implement data requirements.
- Monitor and troubleshoot production workflows to ensure data quality and high availability.
- Ensure data security and compliance with industry standards and best practices.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Data Engineer with a focus on GCP.
- Strong proficiency in Python and SQL.
- Experience with Snowflake and ETL processes.
- Familiarity with data integration tools such as BigQuery, DataFlow, and Pub/Sub.
- Ability to troubleshoot and optimize data workflows.
