About the position

The GCP Data Engineer role is a senior-level position focused on providing expertise in large-scale software engineering projects, particularly in the context of Google Cloud Platform (GCP). The engineer will analyze complex challenges, ensure compliance with relevant policies, and collaborate strategically with clients to achieve project goals. This position requires a strong background in software engineering and cloud technologies, particularly in building scalable data platforms.

Responsibilities

• Consult on complex software engineering initiatives with significant impact.
• Analyze and resolve complex, multi-faceted software engineering challenges.
• Ensure compliance with relevant functions, policies, procedures, and deliverables.
• Collaborate strategically with client personnel to achieve project goals.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in Software Engineering or equivalent experience.
• 7+ years of experience in designing and implementing data frameworks.
• Hands-on experience in building scalable data platforms on cloud platforms.
• Strong experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and its frameworks, including BigQuery, Google Cloud Storage, Google Dataplex, Dataproc, Dataflow, and Google API offerings.
• Proven track record of delivering products using cloud services and architectures at scale.
• Experience in building scalable data platforms on Data Lake/Hadoop infrastructure.
• Experience leading complex technology buildouts and migrations to Google platforms.
• Ability to build and enable cloud infrastructure and automate orchestration of GCP platforms.
• Hands-on experience with DevSecOps practices and SDLC tooling, including CI/CD pipelines.
