About the position
The GCP Data Engineer role is focused on building and managing ETL/ELT processes, data warehousing, and big data solutions using Google Cloud technologies. Responsibilities
- Build and manage ETL/ELT processes for data warehousing and big data solutions.
- Develop data models and pipelines to process large datasets.
- Utilize Google Cloud technologies, specifically BigQuery and Dataflow, for data warehousing.
- Coordinate onsite and offshore teams effectively.
- Implement Test Driven Development practices.
- Participate in Agile processes and DevOps methodologies.
Requirements
- At least 8 years of overall experience in building ETL/ELT, data warehousing, and big data solutions.
- At least 5 years of experience in building data models and data pipelines.
- Strong SQL knowledge to translate complex scenarios into queries.
- Proficient in programming languages such as Java or Python.
- Experience with Google Cloud Platform, especially BigQuery and Dataflow.
- Familiarity with Google Cloud SDK and API scripting.
- Experience with CI/CD tools like GitHub and Jenkins.
- Knowledge of NoSQL databases is a plus.
Nice-to-haves
- Google Cloud Professional Data Engineer Certification.
- Experience in the retail domain.
