About the position

The Onsite GCP Resources position at Capgemini focuses on leveraging Google Cloud Platform (GCP) services to design and implement data engineering solutions. The role requires proficiency in cloud-native architectures, data integration tools, and programming languages relevant to data engineering. The successful candidate will collaborate with global teams to ensure efficient data processing and optimization of GCP resources while maintaining high standards of data quality and performance.

Responsibilities

  • Utilize Google Cloud Platform services such as BigQuery, CloudRun, and CloudStorage to develop cloud-native solutions.
  • Familiarize and work with data integration tools like Cloud Composer and Dataflow.
  • Design robust data models and develop efficient ETL processes to ensure data quality and consistency.
  • Monitor data pipelines and GCP resources using Stackdriver, optimizing performance and cost.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues in production environments, collaborating with networking, security, IAM, and DBAs.
  • Automate routine data processing tasks using scripts and GCP tools to enhance efficiency and reliability.
  • Communicate effectively with global teams and document technical details for non-technical stakeholders.

Requirements

  • Proficiency in Google Cloud Platform services including BigQuery, CloudRun, and CloudStorage.
  • Understanding of cloud-native solutions and architecture.
  • Familiarity with data integration tools such as Cloud Composer and Dataflow.
  • Strong knowledge of programming languages like Python and SQL, as well as Infrastructure as Code tools like Terraform.
  • Experience with CI/CD processes and Git flows.
  • Ability to design data models and develop ETL processes.
  • Skills in monitoring and optimizing data pipelines using Stackdriver.
  • Strong problem-solving and debugging skills.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with Attunity and AutoSys for data management.
