About the position

The GCP Infrastructure Support Engineer will provide 24x7 global customer support, focusing on diagnosing and resolving technical issues related to Google Cloud Platform (GCP) technologies. This role requires effective communication with stakeholders and adherence to service level objectives (SLOs) while advocating for customer needs with product and engineering teams.

Responsibilities

  • Provide 24x7 global customer support, including non-standard hours and weekends.
  • Diagnose and resolve technical issues while ensuring effective communication with stakeholders.
  • Adhere to SLOs and ensure timely updates to customers.
  • Advocate for customer needs with product and engineering teams.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in STEM fields or equivalent experience.
  • 3-4 years of experience with GCP technologies (e.g., Compute Engine, Kubernetes, Security, DevOps).
  • Fluent English communication skills (verbal and written).
  • Strong customer service and problem-solving abilities.
  • Google Cloud Certified Associate Cloud Engineer certification.

Nice-to-haves

  • Intermediate experience in cloud skills (e.g., IAM, resources, orgs).
  • Knowledge of cloud security best practices and infrastructure as code.
  • Familiarity with authentication, authorization models, and cyber security risks.
