About the position
The GCP Kubernetes Engineer position is a long-term contract role focused on managing cloud infrastructure and continuous integration/deployment for a prominent streaming delivery company based in Atlanta. The role requires expertise in GCP and Kubernetes, with responsibilities split between operations and development. The position offers a flexible work-life balance and the opportunity to work in a collaborative environment.
Responsibilities
- Manage cloud infrastructure and continuous integration/deployment needs.
- Maintain and monitor the cloud environment using various tools.
- Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins and Ansible.
- Assist with critical architecture roadmapping.
- Automate processes using Kubernetes.
Requirements
- 6-10 years of experience managing systems and services on a cloud platform (GCP).
- Hands-on experience using Kubernetes (primarily GKE).
- Ability to build and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins and Ansible.
- Up to 4 years of experience working with Prometheus and Grafana.
- Ability to help with critical architecture roadmapping.
- Experience with automation work in Kubernetes.
Nice-to-haves
- Strong communication skills.
- Ability to mentor other engineers offshore and onshore.
- BS in Computer Science, Information Technology, etc.
- Local resident of Atlanta area.
- Ability to work in the US without sponsorship.
