About the position

The GCP Kubernetes Engineer position is a long-term contract role focused on managing cloud infrastructure and continuous integration/deployment for a prominent streaming delivery company based in Atlanta. The role requires expertise in GCP and Kubernetes, with responsibilities split between operations and development. Responsibilities

• Manage cloud infrastructure and continuous integration/deployment needs.
• Maintain and monitor the cloud environment using various tools.
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins and Ansible.
• Assist with critical architecture roadmapping.
• Automate processes using Kubernetes.

Requirements

• 6-10 years of experience managing systems and services on a cloud platform (GCP).
• Hands-on experience using Kubernetes (primarily GKE).
• Ability to build and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins and Ansible.
• Up to 4 years of experience working with Prometheus and Grafana.
• Ability to help with critical architecture roadmapping.
• Experience with automation work in Kubernetes.

Nice-to-haves

• Strong communication skills.
• Ability to mentor other engineers offshore and onshore.
• BS in Computer Science, Information Technology, etc.
• Local resident of Atlanta area.
• Ability to work in the US without sponsorship.
