About the position
The GDIT Summer Internship Program offers a unique opportunity for students to gain hands-on experience in business development within the government contracting sector. As a Business Development Associate Intern, you will collaborate with professionals to tackle real business challenges, conduct market research, and assist in proposal development, all while participating in a structured mentoring program and professional development activities.
Responsibilities
- Conduct market research to support business development efforts.
- Assist with the completion of Requests for Proposals (RFPs) and questionnaires.
- Maintain and collate customer information for business intelligence.
- Work with stakeholders to gather insights needed for business goals.
- Participate in various duties that enhance company productivity and procedures.
Requirements
- Currently enrolled in an associate's, bachelor's or master's degree program in Business Administration, Finance, Statistics, Economics or related discipline.
- Basic understanding of Microsoft Office products (Word, PowerPoint, SharePoint, Excel, Teams).
- Excellent time management skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication skills for professional interaction with internal and external personnel.
Nice-to-haves
- Familiarity with business development in the defense contracting industry.
- Broad knowledge of project management and data analytics.
- Experience with Salesforce.
- Analytical and quantitative skills for synthesizing big data into actionable insights.
