About the position
As a Fellow Intern in the Knowledge Discovery & High Assurance Systems Lab, you will engage in designing and developing advanced technologies in knowledge discovery, text mining, natural language processing, and high assurance systems. This internship focuses on real aerospace problems, with an emphasis on experimentation, patenting, and publication. You will collaborate closely with a senior scientist to structure and execute your work, ensuring a strong mentorship experience.
Responsibilities
- Design and develop technologies in knowledge discovery and text mining.
- Apply state-of-the-art techniques in natural language processing.
- Collaborate with senior scientists to structure and execute projects.
- Experiment with real aerospace problems and contribute to patenting and publication efforts.
Requirements
- Current enrollment in a full-time PhD program in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related discipline at an ABET-accredited university.
- Legal authorization to work in the U.S.
- Demonstrated experience with text mining/natural language processing concepts and open-source technologies.
- Proven track record of designing, developing, and delivering software technologies to customers.
- Minimum GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale.
