About the position
GE is seeking highly-organized interns to grow their technical and professional skills while working on substantial projects with real-world implications. Interns will gain hands-on experience with digital technologies in a supportive environment, focusing on areas such as software solutions, data analytics, and cybersecurity within GE Digital.
Responsibilities
- Participate in meaningful and impactful assignments related to software solutions and engineering functions.
- Engage in team building and career development opportunities during the internship.
- Work on projects in areas such as Product/Project Management, Data Analytics, and Cyber Security.
- Collaborate with key software and business leaders at GE.
- Contribute to dynamic and challenging assignments based on business needs.
Requirements
- Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's, Master's, or PhD program at an accredited university or software accelerator program.
- Degree focused in relevant STEM majors such as Electrical Engineering, Software Engineering, or Computer Science.
- Minimum cumulative or in-major GPA of 3.0/4.0.
- Commitment to working full-time (40 hrs/wk) during the internship.
- Legal authorization to work in the U.S.
Nice-to-haves
- Prior intern, co-op, or research experience in software or electrical engineering.
- Leadership experience inside and/or outside the classroom.
- Strong analytical and technical skills with experience in software industry standards.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Demonstrated creative problem solving and proactive learning.
