About the position

The GEAR UP Wyoming Grant Manager is responsible for developing and managing the GEAR UP Wyoming grant, ensuring compliance with federal regulations and institutional policies. This role involves strategic planning, budget management, oversight of staff, and maintaining effective partnerships to support the educational needs of underrepresented students in Wyoming. The Grant Manager will evaluate grant activities, implement necessary changes, and ensure that project objectives are met while providing vital support to campus customers.

Responsibilities

  • Design and monitor project operating policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with federal regulations.
  • Develop and manage the GEAR UP Wyoming annual budget and monitor partner site budgets.
  • Ensure compliance with federal legislation regarding scholarship funds.
  • Oversee hiring, training, and supervision of temporary staff for summer academy activities.
  • Ensure adherence to federal reporting guidelines and grant performance timelines.
  • Negotiate and monitor subrecipient agreements with GEAR UP partners.
  • Provide timely information and data in multiple formats for various audiences.
  • Manage grant-writing processes.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree preferred.
  • 5 years of work-related experience or 3 years with a Master's degree.
  • Valid driver's license and ability to pass a UW Motor Vehicle Record check.
  • Successful criminal background check for working with minors.
