About the position

As a Geek Squad Installation Helper at Best Buy, you will play a crucial role in delivering and installing technology products in clients' homes. This position involves traveling from your Best Buy store to various locations, where you will assist a seasoned Agent in providing exceptional service to our clients. Your primary responsibilities will include the delivery, installation, and networking of home theater technology, ensuring that each client receives a personalized experience that exceeds their expectations. You will be tasked with maintaining contact with clients to communicate diagnostic findings and make recommendations for device protection. Additionally, you will help manage inventory and vehicle maintenance, provide feedback and training to store teams, and assist with in-store repairs as needed. This role, internally referred to as a Cadet, is an excellent opportunity for individuals looking to build a career with Geek Squad. Responsibilities

  • Travel to clients' homes to assist with the delivery and basic installation of technology products.
  • Perform a variety of duties for clients, including delivery, installation, and networking, with a focus on home theater technology.
  • Maintain contact with clients to communicate diagnostic discoveries and make recommendations for protecting their devices.
  • Help manage inventory and vehicle maintenance.
  • Provide feedback and training to store teams and assist with in-store repairs.

Requirements

  • Experience actively using and learning about consumer electronics.
  • Ability to work successfully as part of a team.
  • Ability to prioritize and multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including holidays, nights, and weekends.
  • Must be at least 21 years old.
  • Must have a current, valid driver's license.
  • Must have no more than two moving violations and/or at-fault accidents within the past three years.
  • Must have no DUI/DWI or reckless driving violations in the past three years.
  • Ability to lift 75 pounds with or without reasonable accommodation and up to 150 pounds with help.

Nice-to-haves
