About the position
The Repair Agent at Best Buy is responsible for performing high-quality repairs on consumer electronics and appliances. This role emphasizes effective communication with customers, educating them about product repairs, and ensuring a positive customer experience through relationship building and problem-solving.
Responsibilities
- Drives a positive customer experience by building relationships and providing solutions to their needs.
- Diagnoses, orders, and makes installations for product repairs.
- Contacts customers with quotes for repairs and answers questions regarding cost, product installation, and operation.
- Completes routine functionality and quality testing on all products.
- Partners with colleagues and leaders to manage work-in-process (WIP) repairs.
Requirements
- Able to stand and sit for long periods of time.
- Able to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Able to work in a non-climate-controlled environment.
- Able to lift weight up to 50 pounds with or without accommodation.
- 6 months of experience diagnosing and repairing consumer electronics and/or appliances.
Nice-to-haves
- Consumer Electronics and/or Appliance Manufacture Repair Certification
- Sealed System Certification applicable to appliances
- 6 months of experience using Best Buy's Star and Smart Parts system or other Parts Inventory System.
