About the position
We are looking for a Prompt Engineer to join our team and ensure the creation of effective and engaging interfaces for our AI-generated content solutions. This role is pivotal in driving the user experience and practical capabilities for our various teams at SRS Distribution, particularly in the context of our Gen AI initiatives. As a Prompt Engineer, you will collaborate closely with content creators, product teams, and data scientists to develop and refine prompts, optimizing their performance while staying ahead of advancements in AI, natural language processing, and machine learning. In this exciting position, you will conduct extensive research to identify and curate relevant data sources for prompt development. Your responsibilities will include analyzing, designing, developing, and refining diverse prompts tailored to specific AI tasks and applications. You will ensure that the prompts are intuitive, facilitating productive conversations that elicit desired responses and achieve outcomes. Additionally, you will optimize the AI prompt generation process to enhance overall system performance and integrate prompt designs into natural language processing (NLP) models. You will also be responsible for conducting thorough evaluations of prompt effectiveness through data analysis and user feedback, iterating on prompt designs based on performance metrics to continually improve conversational capabilities. Developing and maintaining quantitative key performance indicators to evaluate the effectiveness of AI prompts will be crucial, as will drafting and distributing reports on prompt performance to identify areas for improvement. Collaboration with UX/UI designers, product managers, and other stakeholders will be essential to align prompt design with user experience goals and overall project objectives. Staying ahead of AI advancements, natural language processing, and machine learning will be a key part of your role, allowing you to proactively apply these insights to our business objectives. You will document prompt design strategies, methodologies, and outcomes for internal reference and knowledge sharing, and communicate effectively with team members and stakeholders, presenting findings and recommendations related to prompt engineering. Your collaboration with business stakeholders, product teams, and developers will ensure prompt accuracy and alignment with company goals and user needs.
Responsibilities

Requirements
- Bachelor's degree, preferred in computer science, engineering, or a related field. Master's degree preferred.
- 3+ years of experience in software development with proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Java, or similar.
- 2+ years developing applications using AI, natural language processing, and speech recognition.
- Skills in data analysis and statistical methods for assessing performance of prompts and analyzing user interactions.
- Comprehensive understanding of natural language processing techniques and tools, machine learning principles, and AI-generated content development.
- Conversational AI experience with platforms like Kore.AI, Google Dialog Flow, Amelia, Yellow.AI.
- Familiarity with popular conversational AI platforms and frameworks (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch, or Hugging Face Transformers).
- Proven work experience as a Prompt Engineer or similar role.
- High-level familiarity with architecture and operation of large language models.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills for effective prompt design and collaboration.
