About the position
The General Accountant at Heico Companies is responsible for managing daily production entries and reporting on manufacturing activities. This role supports the accounting department through daily invoicing, credit, and collection processes, ensuring accurate financial records and adherence to internal controls.
Responsibilities
- Adheres to systems of internal control to assure proper stewardship of assets and accuracy of accounting records and documentation, including appropriate policies and procedures.
- Enters daily production in Microsoft D365 and issues related reports.
- Performs daily invoice processing.
- Initiates credit and collection for all customers.
- Reviews and resolves payment discrepancies as needed.
- Other jobs and duties as assigned by the Facility Controller.
Requirements
- BS in Accounting/Finance - Preferred
- Must communicate effectively using verbal and written communication skills.
- Must have the ability to solve problems using analytical tools and skills.
- Must have excellent computer skills and be proficient with Microsoft Excel.
- Must have an excellent attendance record and complete assignments on time.
- Must be comfortable working with tight deadlines.
- Must be able to work overtime when needed.
- Must be willing to learn other functions to support the mission of the organization.
- Maintain confidential information.
Nice-to-haves
- Experience with ERP systems such as Microsoft Dynamics AX - Preferred
