About the position
The General Accountant position in Fergus Falls, MN, involves managing financial data and ensuring accurate accounting practices within the company. Responsibilities
- Process and prepare internal financial data for journal entries and monthly financial statements.
- Conduct variance analysis and reconciliations.
- Generate other financial reports as required.
- Maintain the project accounting sub-system.
- Perform financial analysis as requested.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree with an emphasis in accounting or an associate's degree with equivalent work experience.
- Knowledge of accounting principles, procedures, and practices.
- Advanced skills in Excel, Word, and Financial Information Systems.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong customer relation skills with internal and external parties.
- Attention to detail and accuracy in work.
- Excellent time management skills.
- Ability to organize work for efficient completion and work independently.
Nice-to-haves
- Experience with Oracle Fusion.
- Familiarity with project accounting.
- Knowledge of FERC uniform system of accounts.
