About the position

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Cleaner to join our team at Commercial Building Services Inc. This part-time position plays a crucial role in maintaining cleanliness and hygiene across various facilities, ensuring a safe and pleasant environment for all occupants. The ideal candidate will be responsible for both residential and commercial cleaning tasks, requiring a proactive approach to cleanliness and maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Perform thorough cleaning of residential and commercial spaces, including dusting, mopping, sweeping, and vacuuming.
• Conduct floor care activities such as buffing and polishing to maintain high standards of cleanliness.
• Execute industrial cleaning tasks as needed, ensuring compliance with safety protocols.
• Maintain cleanliness in common areas, restrooms, and kitchens by regularly sanitizing surfaces.
• Assist with custodial duties including waste disposal and replenishing supplies.
• Support facilities maintenance by reporting any damages or maintenance needs promptly.
• Act as a porter when required, ensuring the smooth operation of cleaning services throughout the facility.

Requirements

• Proven experience in residential painting is a plus.
• Strong attention to detail with a commitment to maintaining high cleanliness standards.
• Familiarity with buffing techniques and floor care products.
• Experience in industrial cleaning environments is advantageous.
• Ability to maintain equipment and supplies effectively.
• Knowledge of custodial practices and commercial cleaning procedures.
• Excellent time management skills with the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
