About the position

The Data Entry/Document Conversion Clerk is responsible for preparing client documents for scanning and entering digital information into the system. This role involves ensuring data accuracy, performing quality control, and maintaining a clean and organized workspace. The position may require rotating responsibilities based on production needs and aims to meet daily production goals.

Responsibilities

• Reviews discrepancies in data received and requests clarification on data.
• Performs data verification routines in accordance with company procedures and customer requirements.
• Interacts with departmental and other staff on matters affecting data to ensure standards in data entry, collection, and retrieval.
• Performs final quality control review per customer requirements and reports any discrepancies to Supervisor.
• Prepares documents for scanning by removing staples, paper clips, taping rips, inserting cover sheets, counting, numbering, and identifying different document classifications.
• Adjusts documents in a manner that is attuned with the scanner.
• Meets daily production goals.
• Maintains a clean workstation and participates in maintaining a clean and safe work environment.
• Performs other duties as may be assigned.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED
• 10 key speed of a minimum of 10,000 kph
• Must be a United States Citizen
• Ability to obtain a DOD Secret Security Clearance
• Mechanical aptitude with ability to perform repetitive tasks efficiently
• Basic PC hardware and software knowledge
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written
• Detail-oriented with good organizational, problem-solving, and multi-tasking skills
• Ability to lift a 30 lb. box (35 to 50 lbs. occasionally)
• Ability to read, write, and speak English effectively
