About the position

The General Clerk III position at Katmai involves providing administrative support to the Warriors in the Recruit Sustainment Program (RSP). The role focuses on planning and executing various administrative and personnel functions to prepare recruits for Initial Entry Training (IET). The clerk will be responsible for data entry, quality control, and communication with various stakeholders to ensure the smooth operation of the program.

Responsibilities

  • Perform Vulcan data entry and quality control for shippers, addressing any issues that arise.
  • Interview Warriors on administrative, medical, educational, and other relevant topics.
  • Monitor Recruits for potential retention issues and assist in mitigating these issues or processing separations.
  • Assist in managing IET ship dates to maximize training seat utilization.
  • Provide qualitative screening to ensure Recruits' administrative correctness.
  • Communicate with the IADT Manager, MEPS Guidance Counselors, and TRADOC Liaisons regarding IADT Warriors issues, responding to LNO tickets promptly.
  • Maintain the Vulcan Application and perform daily input/reporting related to Warriors and training.
  • Provide quality control for all documentation in the Warriors shipper packet.
  • Maintain employment eligibility training and certification requirements.
  • Upload shipper documents into Vulcan.
  • Monitor Warriors at training using the ATRRS tab in Vulcan for pending actions and report issues.
  • Provide Vulcan and DPRO reports as needed or requested.
  • Maintain regular and punctual attendance.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Possess a current National Agency Check with Inquiries (NACI) Investigation.
  • One to two years of related experience or a combination of education and experience to perform the duties of the position.
  • Preferred experience in Recruiting and Retention or Military Unit Administration.
  • Knowledge of Shipper Quality Control, Vulcan Input, and National Guard Recruiting administrative processes is preferred.
  • Familiarity with Army National Guard enlisted programs and benefits is preferred.
  • High School Diploma or GED is required.
  • Must obtain and maintain necessary security access and/or background checks.

  • Intermediate knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite.
  • Ability to work independently with little or no supervision, being well organized and flexible.
  • Ability to interact with a wide variety of staff.
  • Ability to handle confidential information.
  • Ability to reason, analyze problems, and work on solutions.
