About the position
As a General Dentist at Coast Dental and Orthodontics, you will provide comprehensive dental care, focusing on the diagnosis and treatment of various dental conditions. This role emphasizes patient education and preventive care, ensuring high-quality service in a well-equipped and professional environment.
Responsibilities
- Perform general dentistry services, including diagnosis and treatment of diseases, injuries, and malformations of teeth, gums, and related oral structures.
- Examine patients to determine the nature of their dental conditions using x-rays and other diagnostic procedures.
- Clean, fill, extract, and replace teeth using dental instruments and surgical implements.
- Provide preventive dental services and educate patients on oral hygiene.
- Coordinate laboratory services for the dental office.
- Adhere to safety protocols and processes, ensuring protective equipment is utilized and OSHA/Bloodborne pathogen requirements are followed.
- Participate in morning huddles, chart reviews, and routine office meetings.
- Perform all other duties and responsibilities allowed under applicable state laws and regulations.
Requirements
- DDS or DMD degree, licensed in the state of practice or ability to obtain licensure upon graduation.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) certification.
- Experience in general dentistry is required.
- Completion of a general practice residency (GPR) or advanced education general dentistry residency (AEGD) is preferred.
