About the position
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled General Dentist to join our dental practice in North Andover, MA. The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to providing high-quality dental care and ensuring patient comfort. This part-time position involves diagnosing and treating various dental conditions, performing procedures, and educating patients on oral health practices, contributing to the overall health and well-being of our patients.
Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive dental examinations and assessments to diagnose oral health issues.
- Perform a variety of dental procedures, including but not limited to dental extractions, fillings, crowns, and root canals.
- Administer local anesthesia as needed for patient comfort during procedures.
- Develop treatment plans tailored to individual patient needs and preferences.
- Educate patients on preventive care, oral hygiene practices, and treatment options.
- Maintain accurate patient records in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Ensure adherence to infection control protocols to maintain a safe environment for patients and staff.
- Collaborate with dental hygienists, assistants, and other staff members to provide exceptional patient care.
- Stay updated on advancements in dentistry through continuing education and professional development.
Requirements
- Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) or Doctor of Medicine in Dentistry (DMD) degree from an accredited institution.
- Valid state dental license with no restrictions.
- Proficiency in medical terminology related to dentistry.
- Knowledge of infection control procedures and protocols.
- Experience with general dentistry practices; additional experience in pediatric dentistry or prosthodontics is a plus.
- Familiarity with dental software such as Dentrix is preferred.
- Strong understanding of anatomy related to dental health.
