The General Diagnostic Radiology Technologist Regional Float position at Geisinger involves performing a variety of standardized radiographic and fluoroscopic examinations across multiple locations within the Northeast Region. Responsibilities

• Perform standardized radiological radiographic and fluoroscopic examinations utilizing proper patient position, identification, and exposure techniques.
• Operate all equipment within the modality and ensure proper functioning.
• Set up and adjust immobilization and radiation protective equipment and devices.
• Review and analyze patient body size, thickness, age, physical condition, and suspected pathology in performing examinations.
• Assist physicians with various procedures as needed.
• Report equipment malfunctions and the need for adjustments or repairs.
• Maintain related records and notations accurately.
• Assist in Quality Assurance/Quality Control procedures as required.
• Participate in the educational training of students.
• Float between hospitals and outpatient locations to fill scheduling gaps.

Requirements

• Graduate from a Specialty Training Program in Radiologic Technology.
• Certified Radiology Technologist within 24 months from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
