About the position

The General Engineering and Project Management Support role at Summit Technical Solutions involves providing engineering support to the HQ AF Global Strike Command (AFGSC). This position focuses on planning, developing requirements, and managing significant multi-phase projects related to facilities and infrastructure across AFGSC installations. The role requires collaboration with various stakeholders to ensure the successful execution of projects that meet the operational needs of the Air Force.

Responsibilities

• Provide engineering support to the AFGSC A4C staff on major facilities and infrastructure projects.
• Assist in planning, developing requirements, cost estimates, and performing engineering management work for significant multi-phase projects.
• Provide planning and programming support for new and revised requirements at the installations.
• Evaluate and advise the Government on installation requests for new construction, renovation, and improvements of facilities and infrastructure.
• Advise the Government on validity, feasibility, achievability, and efficiency of proposed projects based on constraints in scheduling and manpower.
• Support the generation of independent Government cost estimates (IGCEs) for projects.
• Provide MAJCOM engineering management of the project process.
• Assist with inspection/surveillance of assigned projects and discuss discrepancies with those performing the work.
• Provide assistance in project life-cycle review and post-construction after action reporting.

Requirements

• 3 years experience in base-level or MAJCOM facility project planning, programming, and management.
• 5 years experience with engineering or project management support, with professional licensing preferred.
• 5 years experience with documentation of engineering goals, objectives, and requirements.
• Bachelor's degree in engineering or Graduate STEM degree.
