About the position

The General Facilities Maintenance Technician at Walmart is responsible for executing routine maintenance tasks to ensure the safety, functionality, and aesthetics of Walmart stores and their equipment. This role involves working under the supervision of the General Maintenance Manager and adhering to established maintenance schedules while conducting inspections, cleaning, and repairs.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and repair Walmart facilities, equipment, and assets using multiple craft skills such as plumbing, electrical, and carpentry.
• Utilize the work order management system to receive and document repair activities.
• Respond promptly to emergency maintenance calls.
• Inspect, operate, or test facilities, equipment, or fixtures to diagnose issues.
• Complete all required training to operate equipment and tools safely.

Requirements

• Must be 18 years or older.
• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. at a time.
• Ability to move up and down ladders frequently.
