About the position
The General Foreman Electrical I is responsible for managing multiple crews in the installation, repair, and maintenance of electrical systems in an industrial setting. This role involves overseeing underground cable and conduit installation, as well as equipment installation for new construction projects. The position requires strong leadership skills and extensive experience in the electrical field, particularly in high voltage systems.
Responsibilities
- Manage multiple crews for electrical installation, repair, and maintenance.
- Oversee underground cable and conduit installation.
- Lead equipment installation for all phases of new construction.
- Read and interpret blueprints and schematics proficiently.
- Demonstrate knowledge and experience working on high voltage systems.
- Keep records and report on time, cost codes, equipment, personnel records, and operational updates.
- Install and modify cable trays using hand and power tools.
- Bend and cut conduit using various tools and devices.
- Utilize specialized electrical tools such as ohm meters and multi-meters.
- Terminate both high and low-voltage equipment and wiring.
- Troubleshoot equipment and systems for electrical malfunctions.
- Identify different types, gauges, and colors of cables and wires.
- Follow safety regulations and instructions correctly.
Requirements
- Must have a valid Journeyman Electrician license.
- Must have a valid NCCER Certification certification.
- Must have 6+ years of experience as an Industrial Electrician.
- Must have 3+ years of supervisory experience.
- Must possess all Knowledge Skills and Abilities for the position.
- Must be able to meet all physical requirements, including working at heights over 300 ft.
- Must have reliable transportation.
- Must be proficient in cable-pulling methods.
Nice-to-haves
- Previous experience as a Zachry employee.
- Licensed Journeyman Electrician.
- NCCER certification for Industrial Journeyman Electrician.
- Formal/technical education.
