About the position

The General Fund Budget Analyst is responsible for maintaining detailed accounting records and reconciliation for all budget transactions related to the General Fund at the university. This role involves preparing and entering budget revisions, reconciling daily transactions with monthly reports, and assisting departmental personnel in understanding their available budgets. The position plays a crucial role in budget planning, execution, and reporting for various funds, including state funds and auxiliaries.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain General Funds Chart of Account
  • Administer budget revisions via Financial Transaction Request
  • Advise campus budget officers on the use of General Fund
  • Assist with Biennial Budget preparation
  • Support General Fund projects, reports, requests, and research

Requirements

  • Master's degree; or Bachelor's degree with 2 years of experience; or equivalent education/experience

Nice-to-haves

  • Higher Education experience
  • State or local governmental experience

Benefits

  • Salary range of $55,000 - $65,000
  • Permanent full-time position
  • Exempt from FLSA status
  • Work schedule: 7:00 am - 4:00 pm, Monday - Friday
