About the position
The General Helper position at US Waffle Company Inc. involves supporting production operations by ensuring safety, quality, and efficiency in the manufacturing process. The General Helper will be responsible for various tasks including product inspection, packing, and compliance with company policies.
Responsibilities
- Build and maintain a well-trained team focused on safety, quality, and efficiency.
- Report to work as scheduled and demonstrate excellent attendance.
- Observe standards for breaks and lunches according to company policy.
- Treat all coworkers with dignity and respect, providing and accepting constructive feedback.
- Contribute to a positive team spirit and support team success.
- Meet or exceed company expectations for production performance.
- Stack products into correct stack counts and examine for defects.
- Refill carton machines as needed and pack products according to specifications.
- Ensure proper labeling and sealing of cartons.
- Report any food safety or quality issues immediately to supervision or QA.
- Assist production lead with changeovers and maintain compliance with company policies.
- Continuously clean up the production line throughout the shift.
Requirements
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Basic mathematical skills.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
- Knowledge of SQF, GMP's, SOP's, and HACCP food safety requirements.
Nice-to-haves
- Bilingual skills preferred but not required.
