About the position
The High School General Subjects Tutor position involves providing personalized tutoring services to high school students in subjects such as Science, Math, English, and History. Tutors will work on a part-time basis, creating flexible schedules based on their availability and that of their students. This role requires commuting to students' homes for in-person sessions, emphasizing the need for reliability and professionalism.
Responsibilities
- Provide one-on-one tutoring in Science, Math, English, and History to high school students.
- Create and discuss a weekly schedule based on availability of both the tutor and the students.
- Commute to students' homes within a 5-15 mile radius for in-home tutoring sessions.
Requirements
- Must have a valid driver's license and a car for commuting to students' homes.
- High school diploma or GED is required.
- Experience working with high school students is preferred.
Nice-to-haves
- 1 year of teaching experience is preferred.
