About the position
Thompson Pipe Group is seeking a Concrete Finisher to join their team in Alvarado, TX. The role involves producing precast concrete products efficiently and safely, working under supervision in a team environment. The position requires a positive attitude and adaptability to changes in tasks.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and finish pieces of concrete pipe to match the texture of precast concrete products.
- Lift and carry materials and equipment throughout work areas using appropriate equipment.
- Follow instructions or repair steps according to quality control processes.
- Finish products in a quality manner, free of cracks and imperfections.
- Maintain neat and orderly work areas, ensuring tools and work areas are clean during the day and at the end of each shift.
- Assist with the production of pipes and box culverts as required.
Requirements
- Concrete finishing experience preferred, but not required; training will be provided.
- 1 year of tack welding experience preferred, but not required.
- 1 year of using a jackhammer preferred, but not required.
- Ability to read a tape measure.
- Basic knowledge of concrete finishing tools and power tools.
