About the position

The General Laborer position at Aerotek involves performing various physical tasks in a construction environment, including reading and interpreting blueprints, lifting materials, and ensuring safety compliance. Responsibilities

• Read and interpret schematic drawings, diagrams, blueprints, specifications, work orders, bills of materials, or reports to determine material requirements or assembly instructions.
• Physically able to lift, push, pull up to 45 lbs. consistently through a 10-hour shift.
• Double-check connections to ensure they match and report issues to the Supervisor.
• Communicate effectively with co-workers on the assembly line to ensure maximum speed and accuracy.
• Maintain and assume responsibility for equipment (hand tools, etc.) that are issued.
• Receive, unload, and transfer materials to different workstations.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and healthy environment and ensure compliance with the company's policies and procedures.

Requirements

• Read and interpret schematic drawings, diagrams, blueprints.
• Physically able to lift, push, pull up to 45 lbs.
• Use hand tools such as hammers, rivet guns, and pallet jacks.
• Commercial construction and assembly experience.
