Responsibilities
- Perform various physical duties as assigned.
- Maintain all safety standards.
- Move, secure, install, build, load, or unload materials.
- Perform specialized tasks which may require on-the-job training.
- Effectively use heavy and light equipment depending on the Jobsite/assignment.
- Move items from place to place according to directions from the site supervisor.
- Move tools, equipment, or other materials as directed in plans or by the supervisor.
- Clean and prepare construction sites.
- Load and unload materials and equipment.
- Build and take down scaffolding and temporary structures.
- Dig trenches, compact earth, and backfill holes.
- Lay concrete.
- Operate and tend machinery and heavy equipment.
- Follow instructions from supervisors and implement construction plans.
- Assist skilled tradespeople in their duties.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
- Ability to read labels, safety warnings, and guidelines.
- Attentive to detail and alert at all times to ensure safety.
- Able to receive and follow instructions and communicate with co-workers.
- Previous experience in a related field, especially in construction or concrete work.
- Ability to safely operate various vehicles and equipment.
Nice-to-haves
- Operators with operators' card.
- Experience in managing concrete formwork, layout, and finished concrete.
