About the position

Kimball International is seeking a part-time cleanup associate who will play a vital role in maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the workplace. In addition to the primary responsibilities, the cleanup associate will identify and measure local performance metrics to support the company's business plan. Adherence to safety procedures and guidelines is crucial, and the associate will be required to use the necessary Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) at all times. The role also includes implementing process improvements and supporting the Environmental Management System (EMS) to promote sustainability within the organization. The associate will participate in job rotation as directed and will be expected to follow and support the quality system established by Kimball International and National Office Furniture. Responsibilities

  • Perform routine troubleshooting and repair on equipment and support systems as required.
  • Request the purchase of all needed supplies and parts.
  • Document necessary information.
  • Keep workplace and equipment clean and well organized.
  • Identify and measure local performance measurements in support of our Business Plan.
  • Follow and understand all safety procedures guidelines and use required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
  • Implement process improvements.
  • Support the Vision and Guiding Principles and other policies of Kimball International and National Office Furniture.
  • Follow and support the Quality system.
  • Perform job rotation as directed.
  • Support our Environmental Management System (EMS).

Requirements

  • Ability to perform routine troubleshooting and repairs on equipment.
  • Strong organizational skills to maintain a clean and orderly workplace.
  • Understanding of safety procedures and guidelines, including the use of PPE.
  • Ability to implement process improvements and support quality systems.
